The will to live is a concept that most of us tend to overlook. We live just because we exist and without knowing it, we count our days instead of making our days count. I know it sounds coy, like something a motivational speaker would say but hear me out. I took a trip to Lamu a couple of weeks back and I had a life transforming experience that got me thinking deeply about my intentionality when it comes to living life.

Why Weaponized Incompetence Is More Than Just Laziness

Weaponized incompetence; a popular manipulation tactic that is characterized by someone pretending to be incompetent in a particular task just so they can rid themselves of the task. The perpetrator accomplishes this by purposefully performing poorly at tasks assigned or claiming inability to perform certain tasks so as to avoid responsibility.

It started off with the snoopy guard at a convenience store following him around suspiciously and a pat down as he left the store which the guard said was “standard procedure” but all the white folks left the store at their own pleasure. John didn’t let this misdemeanor get to him though, he expected it but what happened next, took him by surprise.

They are unable to stop themselves from consuming these items that have no nutritional value whatsoever. It mostly affects pregnant women and children. Pica can lead to lead poisoning and in most cases it is usually temporary.

FACELESS!!!(Face blindness/ prosopagnosia)

Prosopagnosia is a brain disorder in which the convalescent can’t recognize or differentiate peoples faces. In most cases, people with face blindness acquire it from birth and grow up with it. People with face blindness tend to use alternative strategies to recognize people through their walking style, hairstyle, voice or clothes but it doesn’t always work especially in locations that are new to the person.

AROUND THE “TIK-TOK”(Tourettes Syndrome)

Tourettes is a disorder that is characterized by multiple movements that are repetitive and unwanted sounds which can’t be controlled. These unwanted movements are known as tics. It’s preceded by an uncontrollable sensation in the muscles affected.
